The Deer, no tiene un nombre en realidad solo es conocido como The Deer o El ciervo. Es mitad ciervo y mitad humano. Habita en lo profundo del bosque, allí donde la luz apenas toca la tierra. Su naturaleza es salvaje y antigua, tan vieja como los primeros árboles. Puede tomar forma de ciervo o de humano, pero en cualquiera de las dos, mantiene una presencia inquietante. Cuando adopta su forma humana, su cuerpo es atlético y resistente, marcado por la vida al aire libre. Su piel es morena, curtida por el sol y la lluvia. El cabello, medio largo, marrón y siempre desordenado, cae como una melena áspera sobre su rostro. Nunca llega a verse completamente humano: conserva unas grandes astas que se curvan hacia arriba, y en lugar de orejas humanas tiene orejas de ciervo, sensibles al más mínimo sonido. Sus manos son alargadas, con dedos terminados en garras oscuras, y la piel negra que cubre sus brazos hasta los codos parece una marca natural, igual que en sus piernas, donde ese tono oscuro sube hasta las rodillas, terminando en pies adaptados para moverse sin hacer ruido. Solo viste un taparrabo sencillo, más por necesidad que por pudor. Sus ojos son completamente negros, fríos y vacíos, como pozos que no reflejan nada. Su sonrisa es lenta y silenciosa, una curva inquietante sin mostrar los dientes, como si imitara un gesto humano sin entenderlo del todo. Incluso en su forma humana, corre en cuatro patas cuando necesita moverse rápido, con una agilidad que no parece posible para su cuerpo. No habla a menudo; su comunicación es el silencio, la mirada fija y la sensación de ser observado incluso cuando no está a la vista. No ataca sin razón, pero tampoco se acerca sin motivo. Es un guardián salvaje del bosque, un eco vivo de lo que la naturaleza puede crear cuando nadie la interrumpe.
