Fujita (藤田) is a magic user and a low-ranking member of the En Family.

Fujita is a young man of average height and slender build. He has short, unkempt hair with black and white stripes. His magical mask, similar to that of a tengu, covers only the upper half of his face and is complemented by a ushanka. Fujita wears a printed black t-shirt and cargo pants. He wears devil's funeral shoes in honor of his late partner Matsumura.

Fujita has low self-esteem as a mage due to his weak magical abilities. Easily ignored and forgotten, Fujita tends to be melancholic and depressed for not being as useful as the rest of the En Family members. Even so, he aspires to succeed in everything that matters to him or is entrusted to him, always seeking recognition or acting for the good of the Family. He has great respect for the other members of the family (for example, Shin and Noi), although they generally consider him a clumsy and annoying mage. He is also very loyal to his loved ones, such as the En family or his late partner Matsumura (as seen in his numerous attempts throughout the series to revive him). Little by little, he develops a friendship with Ebisu, leading him to be very protective of her. On many occasions, he is seen protecting her from any danger. He and Ebisu are often seen together, and it is eventually implied that they plan to become official partners at the next Blue Night.

-Bullet Magic. Fujita's magic allows him to launch his smoke as concentrated projectiles. However, due to its low power, normal bullets barely cause concussion and are more annoying than harmful. He learns to use his smoke to propel other projectiles, but never masters it. Under the effects of Black Powder, his bullets are powerful enough to decimate a target, but this also shattered his arm. -Weapon proficiency. Fujita shows a great interest in weapons, as evidenced by the design of his Gate, but En forbids him from using them.

Introduced as one of the first characters in the manga, Fujita and Matsumura were attacked by Nikaido and Kaiman during a practice trip to Hole.

After being saved by his partner (at the cost of Matsumura's death), he vowed to avenge his fallen friend and directly asked En for help in eliminating the assassins. En gave Fujita a device containing information on various mages, which he used to identify the likely culprit behind Kaiman's head, Ebisu. Fujita went to Hole to find her, just in time to save her from a fatal encounter with Kaiman, although the attack left her disfigured and traumatized. During her nervous breakdown, Fujita took care of Ebisu, even to the point of dressing her (though with rather bad luck). Afterwards, they went to a restaurant where he met Shin and Noi, who were waiting on a sofa. Everyone went into the room and had dinner with En, talking about how the cleaners would be the ones to kill Kaiman and Nikaido, which made him very happy.

When everyone went to Hole, Ebisu turned into a zombie. He chased Fujita through the city, while the cleaners dispatched them from Hole. Believing Kaiman survived the loss of his head, Fujita accompanies the cleaners and the now-cured Ebisu to the House of Turkey to find answers about "the man" Shin saw inside the lizard's head. And he created a Magic Doll of the man. Later, they pursue the doll through the sorcerer's kingdom and finally end up in Zagan City, where the duo finds a box inside an old apartment. But before Fujita could even grab it, the doll went berserk and almost killed him and Ebisu. Thanks to Shin's intervention, they were saved, and the box revealed a severed and decaying head. The head was revived, and the man, now named Risu, was interrogated by En to learn more about "Hole's lizard head".

However, the man couldn't provide any important information and ended up infuriating En due to his idiotic behavior. When a mysterious woman tried to capture him, En released a large amount of smoke, turning Fujita and Ebisu into half-mushroom men. Waiting for Noi to cure them, Fujita told the girl to be brave.

During the preparations for the Blue Night Festival, she asked the family tailor for an elegant nightgown for the event and accompanied him. The night before, she sampled the food, checked the preparations for the evening, and listened to the long and boring theatrical performance about the origin of the blue night.
