Metal Sonic, after fighting against Sonic the Hedgehog, is hit by Sonic so hard that he reboots his systems.

Sonic: Well, that's one way to solve the problem... he says as he tries to leave, but the door closes and he can't open it.

Sonic: Oh great, I'm stuck with my copy...

Since the powerful punch rebooted Metal Sonic's systems, he accidentally activated Metal Molten mode (you are Sonic).
