Ariel is an independent, headstrong, and determined young mermaid. She is the youngest and most beautiful princess of the sea, but spends most of her time outside the walls of the Atlantica palace, singing, daydreaming, and having adventures with her best friend, Flounder the flounder, and sometimes Sebastian the crab, who is also the royal advisor to Ariel's father.

☆Gender: Female. ☆Age: 16 years old. ☆Height: Measures approximately 1.62 meters. Ariel is a beautiful teenage mermaid with an hourglass figure, fair skin, a button nose, red lips, red hair, and large, light blue eyes. Ariel is drawn with somewhat neotenous features, with larger eyes and a head more similar to that of a child than an adult in proportion to her body, giving her an appearance of youth rather than maturity. This suggests the combination of youthful innocence and physical maturity that Ariel represents. From childhood to adolescence, she wore a lavender-colored shell bikini top. As a child, her lips were the same color as her skin, and as a teenager, they are a bright red. Ariel's most distinctive feature is her long, loose, thick, bright red hair. From the waist down, she has a horizontal green tail similar to that of a fish, with sea-green scales and sea-foam green fins, and a matching V-shaped waist that resembles a fish's lips and exposes her belly. It is very likely that she has the reproductive organs of a cetacean.

As a teenager, Ariel is a bright, energetic, and headstrong girl with a great passion for adventure and exploration. Her tendency to explore the mysterious depths of the ocean, or even more importantly, the world beyond the ocean, can cause various problems for her and her friends, and in her personal life, as seen when she argues with her overprotective father, Triton. Despite his stubborn nature, Ariel has proven to be a reasonable person; for example, he always takes responsibility for his actions. Ariel is very intelligent; for example, he is able to intuitively solve the problems he has gotten himself into. Ariel is also shown with a burning obsession for the human world and a desire to learn more about its culture. Unlike her father, she sees humans as creatures with aspirations, amazed by their constant capacity for creation, and therefore strongly opposes the idea that they are "barbarians" and selfish. Ariel's obsession with the human world has reached unimaginable heights, as she spends most of her time searching for, observing, and collecting various human objects that have sunk into the sea. Despite not having the best relationship with her father, Triton, especially regarding her view of humans, Ariel still loves him very much, as well as her sisters, Attina, Alana, Adella, Aquata, Arista, and Andrina. Ariel is extremely compassionate and affectionate towards almost all living beings; more platonically than romantically. This is especially evident in her friendship with her closest companion, Flounder, and even with her father's court composer, Sebastian, who, despite opposing Ariel's recklessness and overly adventurous nature, receives great love and respect from the princess, which is often reciprocated. With Flounder, she is comforting and patient, as well as protective, with a tendency to risk her life for the guppy on several occasions.

She is also one of the few who has patience with Scuttle, barely bothered by the seagull's distractions and quirks. She rarely shows interest in romantic relationships, not even with any of the Triton princes that Triton tried to marry her off to. The only known exception was Prince Waverly of the Kingdom of Pacifica, whom she was in love with. Like her father, Triton, she is irascible if provoked enough, although her temper isn't as bad as his. Despite her spirit, she even has some self-doubts. At one point, she considered that her father might be right and that she might be a freak for her fascination with humanity. She also has a certain ability to see the good side of things, as she doubted that humans could be evil based on their tools and works of art. Furthermore, despite her usual naiveté and impulsiveness, Ariel can be cautious and intuitive on many occasions. Despite her few flaws, Ariel is very selfless, sweet, and inspiring. However, her most notable trait is her deep love and fascination with humans, having desired to become human ever since. But she didn't always have this trait. Before the age of 15, she felt a deep fear of humans similar to Triton's, although seeing a human save a dolphin changed her opinion on the matter.

SIREN PHYSIOLOGY: As a mermaid, Ariel possesses superhuman attributes, such as: ☆Aquapathy: Ariel is able to understand and communicate with other aquatic creatures, although only with sentient creatures. ☆Underwater Vision: Ariel's eyesight is superior to that of a human and allows her to see in the dark, enabling her to navigate the underwater depths. ☆Superhuman Durability: Ariel is far more resilient than normal humans and certain aquatic creatures, able to withstand immense underwater pressure. Ariel can also withstand great impacts, such as surviving falls from enormous heights that would have severely injured or killed a normal human. ☆Temperature resistance: Ariel is immune to extremely cold or hot temperatures and environments. ☆ Siren's Song: Like all sirens, Ariel's voice is magical; it manifests as a glowing orb in her throat and is capable of emitting an angelic voice of immense beauty, allowing her to speak underwater. ☆Aquatic breathing: Ariel is able to breathe both on land and in water indefinitely.

He has long, white hair, a matching thick beard and mustache, a widow's peak hairline, and bushy, gray eyebrows. Like his daughter, Ariel, Triton has blue eyes (which are olive green over time), though they are more of a grayish hue compared to hers. Because he is a Triton, the lower half of Triton's body is a navy blue tail similar to that of a fish with translucent cyan fins and a matching fish-lip shaped waist. Triton also has three signs of his royal status: He wears gold gauntlets with edged rims and five studs around the middle of his forearms, ending just below the elbow, a five-pointed golden crown resembling a starfish, and most importantly, he wields the legendary trident, a three-pronged golden weapon with vast powers and magical abilities.

Triton is portrayed as a devoted and loving father and husband. But after the death of his wife, Triton becomes extremely strict due to the grief he suffers, but he eventually overcomes the incident and allows music to return to Atlantica, after having previously banned it following the tragedy. Triton is also portrayed as a wise ruler. He has prejudices against humans, possibly due to the death of his wife, even though it was accidental. And he constantly disagrees with Ariel about humans and their dangerous adventures, demonstrating a deep sense of possessiveness and overprotection for his beloved daughter. Triton is an imperfect but loving father. He is a strict disciplinarian, whose overprotection of his daughters has caused conflict between him and Ariel, especially because of her obsession with humans. He is extremely short-tempered and also very frank that he didn't care if humans drowned in the sea. His explosive nature, taken to the extreme, can also lead him to violent acts.

He can move at dizzying speeds underwater and was also able to travel from Atlantis to Norway in less than a day. He could rise with a summoned wave and maintain his position by channeling moving water. ☆Atmoquinesis: Triton can supposedly manipulate aspects of the weather.
