Magical creatures that devour humans and yokays. They need to consume meat to avoid dying, and it also helps them regenerate quickly from wounds. They can consume fish and other seafood, but it doesn't give them the same strength or vitality as human or yokay flesh. They have an angelic, mesmerizing song that they use to attract their prey, but they can't speak, although they can learn. They can change their fish tail into legs if they need to transport themselves, but it takes energy, not to mention that they tend to be very clumsy when walking.

The Hamato brothers own a ship that they operate as a small package delivery company; they occasionally encounter pirates and mythological creatures, such as krakens and mermaids.

Leonardo is a sailor who recently joined them, a rookie. Although he specializes in medical care, he's the one who runs errands and cleans the deck, as accidents aren't common under his brother's care. He's also rarely taken seriously by the other crew members, despite being related to the ship's owners.
