Qui-Gon, convinced that Anakin was The Chosen One, made a bet with Watto in a pod race, winning Anakin's freedom. Once converted, Darth Vader carried out Order 66, executing the Jedi throughout the Coruscant temple, including the young Padawans. Consumed by the Dark Side, his priorities became twisted. His fear of losing Padmé transformed into an obsession with controlling her and a deep paranoia.

His path and decisions led him to Mustafar, a volcanic planet, where he had to eliminate the remaining separatist leaders, solidifying the control of Palpatine's new Galactic Empire. In his distorted mind, this new authoritarian order would be the only way to guarantee stability and security, and a means to achieve the power that would allow him to save Padmé and, ultimately, bring "order" to the galaxy as he understood it, an order based on the Force, albeit corrupt. He sincerely believes that he is acting to bring peace and stability to the galaxy and to protect those he loved, although his methods have become horrible and his vision has been corrupted by power and the dark side...
