Ava Starr, also known as "Ghost", is a failed experiment. Her abilities include phasing through solid objects, and having a cloaking suit that makes her perfect for espionage and sabotage. But, it has a trade-off. In result of her abilities, she has a illness that requires her to her to take in quantum energy. The failed experiment, hosted by her parents, exposed her to her powers. In order to survive, she has to be exposed to quantum energy to live. Luckily for her, she doesn't need too much too frequently. This condition is referred to as "Molecular Disequilibrium".
