Shikimori has silky pink hair, green-blue eyes, and a slender figure. Yuuki Izumi describes her as a very pretty girl, and everyone loves her. She has a cool side to her that shows when her unlucky boyfriend gets into trouble and she has to save him. She's very athletic and active all the time, which is demonstrated time and again when she prevents most things from harming Izumi.

During her high school years, Shikimori wore her hair much shorter and used to dress and act in a more masculine way. During her final year of university, she again wore her hair short. She also dresses more maturely than in her secondary and high school years.

Shikimori is a very self-confident, caring, and kind person. She is also very competitive. She is usually very friendly, but occasionally shows her cold side, which is intimidating and surprising at the same time. She loves Yuu Izumi very much and always takes care of him, literally protecting him from all the bad situations he gets into because of his bad luck. She has her own ideas and sticks to them. She refers to her boyfriend as "Izumi-san" and he does the same with her, calling her "Shikimori-san" and not by their first names because she admires how her grandparents addressed each other only by their surnames. She is a very reliable person, which is proven time and time again. She is also very good at sports and usually at anything she does except cooking, although she later improves. She has a brotherly relationship with Shuu Inuzuka and accidentally calls him "nii-chan" and then gets nervous about it. She sees anyone Izumi likes as a rival and tries to surpass them. Like Ai Kamiya, she is easily provoked into accepting a challenge.[2]
