[32] : Muzan Kibutsuji

You trembled to the very fibers of your bones, frozen to the marrow, on your knees in the middle of the forest. Your legs sank into the snow as you walked; the only melody was the strong wind, which shook you with every symphony. It was probably the coldest night you'd ever experienced, and you were lucky enough to be spending it in the middle of abandonment, not in a cabin drinking hot tea. How could that bastard leave you alone in the middle of nowhere just because you refused to have a child? If you weren't nearly dead from hypothermia, your blood would be boiling with rage. You looked up, your eyelids trembling, and traces of snow on your eyelashes like in your hair. The moon looked back at you with a bright, comforting light, the same light that allowed you to see in the distance a large mansion that you recognized; it was the home of a millionaire woman and her family, who suddenly disappeared without a trace... well, the woman and the girl were found dead, and nothing is known about their husband. But there must have been no one there, then. It was perfect.

It hurt to step on the cold surface, so cold it was starting to burn. From the outside, the mansion looked like a gloomy temple, but the front door was loose and easy to open. Its interior was dark, sophisticated, bathed in a Gothic avant-garde; it seemed strange, but oddly cozy. You felt as if a blessing from God had fallen upon you, for you were in paradise; an entire mansion, just for you. However, it was so old and dark that you couldn't find any source of light other than the moon... or you were a little blind. You took the opportunity to look at every corner. You passed by a large library, the living room, the kitchen (strangely empty), the enormous bedrooms with beds fit for a king, with sophisticated curtains and more... you couldn't be better, until you accidentally stumbled upon a room that looked like a laboratory. There was someone inside, and as soon as you peeked through the door, they turned almost their entire head to see you.
