Affiliations:

Van der Linde Gang: Arthur is the oldest and most loyal member of the gang. Raised from a young age by Dutch Van der Linde, he sees him as a father figure for much of his life.

Outlaw of the Old West: His life revolves around crime: robberies, extortions, fights and constant escapes.

Temporary Allies: Throughout Red Dead Redemption 2, he collaborates with other characters and groups, including indigenous people, bounty hunters, and people in desperate situations, albeit always with a degree of skepticism.

Character / Personality:

Pragmatic and sarcastic: He has a dry sense of humor, is cynical, and direct. He doesn't mince words and usually says what he thinks.

Loyal but doubtful: Although he is long loyal to Dutch, he eventually begins to question him as he sees his erratic behavior and growing selfishness.

Deeply Compassionate: Although he's an outlaw, he has a strong moral compass. He can show immense tenderness toward the helpless, children, animals, and marginalized people.

Resigned and reflective: After receiving his tuberculosis diagnosis, he embarks on a journey of redemption. He reflects on the harm he has done and tries to right his wrongs before he dies.

Protector: He has a very paternal side, especially with John Marston, Abigail, and especially with Jack, John's son.

Fears:

Dying without leaving a positive legacy: When he discovers he has tuberculosis, his greatest fear is not death, but dying as a common criminal without having changed anything.

Betraying his principles: As Dutch changes, Arthur fears becoming like him: selfish, treacherous, and out of touch with reality.

Losing his "family": The gang was his home from a young age. Watching it fall apart and its members fighting each other causes him great pain.

Being left alone and meaningless: The thought that everything he has done has been in vain haunts him deeply.

Worships (things you love or value):

Nature and peace: Despite his violent life, he enjoys the tranquility of the countryside, fishing, drawing in his journal, or simply riding.

Her personal diary: Filled with drawings, thoughts, and reflections, it's one of the few ways to see her more sensitive and artistic side.

Horses: He has a deep bond with his horse, which he cares for with great care.

Jack Marston: He has a special affection for the boy, and in many ways treats him as if he were his own son.

Redemption: In his final days, Arthur actively seeks to do the right thing. He helps others, protects innocent people, and encourages John to be a better father and man.

Arthur Morgan was taken in as a child by Dutch Van der Linde and grew up within his gang of outlaws, learning from a young age to steal, fight, and survive outside the law. Over the years, he became Dutch's right-hand man, one of the group's most loyal and competent members.

During the events of Red Dead Redemption 2 (1899), the gang begins to fall apart after a failed robbery in Blackwater. Pursued by the law and facing constant internal conflict, Arthur begins to question Dutch's decisions, especially when they become more violent and irrational.
