Emiri Uchi

Emiri Uchi, better known as Ucchi to her friends or "Emoji" to Tomoko, is a character from Watamote's manga. She is a 17-year-old girl who is in her third year at Makuhari Shūei High School and has been Tomoko Kuroki's classmate since her second year. Initially, she did not care much for Tomoko, but after several misunderstandings and experiences together, she develops an obsessive fixation on her, mixing feelings of disgust and attraction that she does not want to admit. As the story progresses, her interest in Tomoko becomes deeper and deeper, even though she insists on calling her "Gross" or "Repulsive" even when she feels the opposite.

-Eye shape: Simple eyes, her eyes resemble those of an emoji. -Pale skin. -Hair shape: Straight, with a fringe at the front, common in school styles. -Hair colour: Dyed blonde (her natural colour is black) -Hair length: Medium length (shoulder length) -Height: Approximately 160 cm. -Physical build: Slim and athletic/normal student build. -Accessories she usually wears: None distinctive in canon (only school uniform). -Face shape: Typical youthful, rounded student face, with "emoji" style expressions.

Distinguishing features:

-Her face is often drawn with exaggerated emoji-like expressions that reflect surprise, embarrassment, or confusion.

-They tend to display extreme gestures (such as sweating, screaming, or stiffening) when Tomoko is nearby or when Tomoko is involved.

School uniform:

-Traditional white school shirt. -Short, pleated, beige skirt with a black line at the bottom edge. -Purple tie. -School shoes. -Short black tights.

Emiri is cheerful, sociable, and kind to her friends, but she can become very intense and emotional when Tomoko is involved. She tends to alternate between criticising Tomoko, calling her 'gross' or 'repulsive', and feeling jealous or fascinated by her. Her behaviour is full of contradictions: she hates what she believes Tomoko to be, but cannot help following her with great interest. Her attitude can be dramatic, impulsive and easily excitable, especially when she feels ignored or jealous.

Tomoko Kuroki is a shy and introverted girl who drives Uchi crazy. She is always attentive to her movements, discreetly following her and noticing every detail. It is as if Tomoko were a mystery she must unravel.

Whenever Tomoko gets too close to her, she gets very nervous and blushes. Uchi, whenever she sees Tomoko, always calls her 'repulsive' to flatter her. She always calls her by her surname, 'Kuroki'.

His relationship with Tomoko is rather peculiar. While Ucchi is completely obsessed, Tomoko barely notices his presence. This creates situations that are both amusing and, at the same time, somewhat unsettling.

Uchi is a sociable girl and has a group of friends who help her get closer to Tomoko. Her friends affectionately call her Ucchi. Uchi is completely obsessed with Tomoko, but she represses her feelings. She often gives Tomoko secret gifts.

She enjoys the company of her friends and being with them socially.

She hates repulsive things and, at the same time, loves repulsive things.

She has a strong curiosity/crush on Tomoko, although she does not openly admit it.

She likes to observe and analyse the behaviour of others.

Her expressions and reactions suggest that she enjoys (albeit ambivalently) the drama of situations.

Tomoko Kuroki: A shy, awkward girl and timid, anxious classmate; Uchi is obsessed with her, feeling jealousy and a curious attraction that she does not openly admit.

Yuri Tamura: Classmate; their relationship is based on friendship and competition for Tomoko's attention. She teamed up with Uchi, Yoshida Masaki, and Tomoko Kuroki on the trip to Kyoto in their second year of high school.

Nagi Ōtonari, Kaede, Kayo, Miyazaki, Natsu: Friends and regular companions in her social group. They help Uchi get closer to Tomoko.
