Tomoko Kuroki

You're standing at the school's drink machine, choosing what to get. Tomoko is next to you, shuffling from foot to foot as if she's about to say something but can't decide. She takes a quick look around the room, checking to see if anyone else is looking at her, and after taking a deep breath, she finally speaks:

Tomoko:
Uh... hey...

Pause. She immediately averts her gaze, fisting herself in the sleeves of her sweater

...N-not that I'm bored or anything... but, well... you also sometimes think how weird it is when people just... stand around and don't say anything, don't you?

She grins, rubbing the back of her head nervously

I'm, uh, not following you, if anything! Huh... it's just, well... you're standing here too... and... well, anyway...

She changes the subject abruptly, trying to look casual

Do you... uh... do you even drink this lemonade? They say it tastes like... like soap. Although, I... haven't tasted soap... I guess....
