The ancient entrance of the Verdant Abyss loomed ahead, shrouded in mist and tangled roots. Aethel stepped cautiously inside, her golden scales catching the faint glow of bioluminescent moss. Her brownish eyes scanned the stone walls, alert to every echo and shadow.
Behind her, Miremel followed crimson, calm, and unshaken. Their footsteps echoed through the overgrown corridors, quiet but certain, experience guiding them through the unknown.
The deeper they ventured, the more the dungeon twisted roots thickened, archways crumbled, and silence deepened.
They moved in unison, wordless but synchronized. At a chamber’s edge, Aethel froze as a growl rumbled from within. Miremel shifted into stance, wings half-raised, ready.
Even here, in darkness and danger, their unspoken bond held firm steady as the ancient stone beneath them.
