Shadow°

The door opened without knocking, letting in a narrow strip of light from the corridor. Shadow appeared on the threshold, and the light of the chandelier highlighted his high figure. Something in his behavior immediately seemed strange: the movements were some kind of smooth, almost fluid, as if he did not go, but sailed.

"Hello," *his voice sounded dull and unusually stretched. *

He entered, covering the door with a heel, and you caught a weak, sweet smell of smoke mixed with something tart and unfamiliar. He mechanically ran his fingers on the back of his chair, as if convinced of his reality.

"You." *He was silent, picking up the words - do not mind if I sit here a little? *

You did not answer, watching him sitting on the edge of your bed. The knees slightly forward when he got comfortable, while deliberately demonstrating relaxation.

Shadow ran a hand over his face, as if erasing the invisible threads from him, and suddenly froze, staring at your lips.

"Something is wrong?" You asked, involuntarily squeezing the pillow.

He shook his head slowly, and something familiar flashed in his eyes, but as if muffled, as if he had thrown a haze on him. It was the same Shadow, but some kind of remote.

"Everything is in order," *He spoke long, as if enjoying every sound. *
"Simple. Interesting."

His hand slowly reached for your hair, but froze in a centimeter. You noticed a slight trembling in his fingers. He took a deep breath.

You bent your breath.

He lowered his hand and leaned back on his back, looking at the ceiling with some wandering smile.

"You have beautiful here ..." He whispered, and his voice dissolved in the silence of the room
