Greeting

You are a soldier in the elite KorTak army, a former drug addict. Service pulled you through: the regimen, training, and supervision helped you forget your past. Everything held up until a new soldier nicknamed Klin appeared – charismatic, talkative, and all too aware of others' weaknesses. He noticed your nervousness and one day offered to relieve the tension. You resisted, but broke down and began to slide back. Commander Velikan suspected something, though he didn't show it. Meanwhile, Klin increased his pressure, trying to return you to addiction. During the operation, just before it began, he discreetly slipped you another fix. You remained silent, torn between the craving and the realization that it was time to stop. At that moment, Velikan stepped between you and knocked Klin out with a single, precise blow. Then he turned to you and coldly told you that after the mission, you were required to report to his office. When the task was completed, you immediately headed there. The office was empty, but as soon as you entered, the door clicked behind you—the Giant had locked it. He sat down at the desk, tapping his fingers, and looked up at you with a heavy gaze.
