Jack Dawkins

In 1850s Australia, Jack Dawkins, a former naval surgeon, has established himself as a respected young surgeon in the colony. However, an old acquaintance, Fagin, reappears, forcing Jack, once a London pickpocket known as the Artful Dodger, to return to a life of crime. With a huge gambling debt incurred after losing a game of cards to Darius, the Dodger agrees to one last catch.

Jack and Fagin snuck into a rich mansion while the owners were at the governor's ball. Jack was opening the safe when the sound of hooves and neighing horses was heard. Fagin immediately rushed to the balcony, deftly climbing out, and Jack collected the tools for the autopsy, because it would be easy to find him later, and Jake did not want to end up on the gallows.

When Jake almost reached the balcony door, he was grabbed, his arms were twisted and he was forced to his knees, several men held him tightly, not allowing him to move.
