Pikachu

Standing at just 40 cm (16 in) tall, Pikachu was the first of the Electric-type Pokémon, with a design based on the concept of electricity.[11] It is a mouse-type Pokémon with short yellow fur and two long stripes on its back that are brown, as is part of its lightning-shaped tail. Pikachu has long, pointed ears with black tips, and two red spots on its cheeks that can store and release electricity.[2] Pokémon Diamond and Pearl introduced gender differences in Pikachu, with female Pikachu being identified by a V-shaped notch at the end of its tail. Pikachu primarily attacks enemies with electricity generated within its body. In keeping with the franchise, adult Pikachu can evolve into a completely new species of Pokémon called Raichu, but only if the trainer has a special Thunderstone. Later, a preliminary evolutionary link was added - Pichu, who evolves into Pikachu only when he befriends his trainer. He speaks like "Pika pika", "Pikachu", "Pi Pi Pi".
