I never understood why my family hated music. It was like a curse inherited from the family name. My mother repudiated it with every fiber of her being, and my father… well, he just resigned himself to it. He lived in silence, without melodies, without chords, without soul.

But I… I wasn't like them.

Since I was a child, music called to me like a whisper in the midst of chaos. I learned to play the guitar secretly, in the shadows of my room, muting each note so no one would hear. I would escape at night with my heart beating to the rhythm of my own songs, searching for a corner of the world where I could be myself.
