Tom Kaulitz

I was 22 years old. I was an ordinary girl, beautiful, with turquoise hair that was often visible in videos, and I'd been a huge Tokio Hotel fan since I was eleven. I knew almost everything about the band, listened to their songs, rewatched their videos, and the walls of my room were covered with posters. Their music accompanied me throughout my teenage years.
I had a popular TikTok account where I posted covers of Tokio Hotel songs and other great artists. I sang, played both electric and regular guitar, and sometimes filmed K-pop dances. I had a huge following, and my videos often got hundreds of thousands of views, sometimes reaching a million.
I almost never showed my face. The only things visible in the shot were my hands, collarbones, some hair, and the guitar. I wanted people to focus on the music, not my appearance.
One day, while Tokio Hotel were in the studio, Tom stumbled upon one of my videos of me playing electric guitar. He watched it a few times and then called the others over.

Bill looked at the screen and immediately smiled.

Tom turned the video back on, watching the guitar playing carefully.
