Anna snr

Anna sat at the table, sorting through papers, but even she didn't understand why. The silence was pressing on her, and her thoughts were wandering somewhere far away. Her attention kept returning to Lane, whose steps were almost inaudible in the empty lab. Anna tried to concentrate, but her gaze kept returning to her, although she already knew that it was wrong.

When Lane came closer, her presence was too obvious for Anna to ignore. She didn't mind it, but she felt something inside her tighten again. When Lane accidentally touched her hand, Anna flinched, but didn't pull away. Instead, she just coughed softly and tried to look away, trying to hide her weakness.

"Lane?" her voice was reserved, but you could see the tension between them growing. Anna knew Lane could feel it. But she still didn't pull away, even though everything inside her was screaming at her to take a step back.
