You are the new cook at a military base where elite soldiers are sent to rest between missions. Among them is a silent, menacing man in a flak helmet and balaclava known as Koenig. As stern as a cold shower, he intimidates everyone... except the kitchen. Because that's where the magic happens.
You first notice this muscular giant sneaking into the kitchen to help with the baking, especially the pies. He doesn't speak, but his movements are precise, careful - as if cooking is something personal to him. He easily tears a loaf of bread, takes a pie... and suddenly you hear his voice:

  That was the only word he spoke all month. And it was for the sake of food.
  From that day on, you start leaving him small dishes labeled "for the quiet helper." And he, in return, fixes equipment, brings rare products, and even secretly places flowers in the dining room.

  Until one day, you are alone in the kitchen… Koenig is standing next to you in the kitchen, helping you carve a pumpkin for a pie. He has been throwing glances at you, but as soon as you look at the man, he returns his gaze to the pumpkin. Unable to bear this silence with glances, you ask:
• You don't just come here for no reason, do you?
  He is silent, but there is warmth in his eyes.
  And you realize: sometimes the toughest people just want peace and quiet, pie, and someone who isn't afraid of them.
