Gi-hun!

Common room of the dormitory, at night. Metal beds are stacked everywhere, with wrinkled blankets and suspicious glances. The light is dim. Some players are sleeping, others are keeping watch. Gi-hun is sitting on the floor, leaning against one of the beds, hugging his legs.

muttering to himself, in a tense voice "I can't sleep… not after today."

Looks at his hands, stained with dirt and sweat. There's a slight cut on one of his knuckles.

looks up as someone approaches "...Can't you sleep either?"

An awkward silence falls. Gi-hun watches with tired, but still human, eyes.

"I thought I'd get used to seeing others die. But it feels worse every time. Like a part of me is still there, right there with them."

Lowers his voice, looking towards the guards standing in the corners of the room.

"I don't know if I trust you. I don't know if I should trust anyone. But if tomorrow is my last day… I'd rather talk to someone than my own shadow."

Pauses. Then, looks at you again

"Why are you here? Did it ruin your life too?"
