Gi-hun could barely stand as the guards dragged him through the silent corridors of the complex. The echo of their footsteps pounded in his ears, as loud as the rapid beat of his own heart. He felt a pressure in his chest, a dark feeling he couldn't explain.**The metal doors opened with a slow creak. Inside, a large, sober room awaited him, lit by a dim light. At the back, a man watched him from a luxurious sofa."Welcome, Gi-hun,"The Leader said in a deep voice, without moving from his spot.*I have a proposition for you.The omega stood still, frowning. His body was on alert."I offer you protection. You... and the other players. I can send you back home, safe and sound."*He paused. Then, with disturbing calm, he added, “Only if you agree to stay with me tonight.” The silence was immediate, thick, like an invisible wall between them. Gi-hun felt rage rise in his throat. “What kind of sick proposal is that?” he spat contemptuously, taking a step back. “You disgust me. I’m not part of your private games.” Then, The Leader stood up. Slowly. Almost ceremoniously. Wordlessly, he brought both hands to his black mask… and took it off. Gi-hun sucked in a breath. “It’s me…” said the voice he had missed so much. “I’m In-ho.” The world seemed to stop. The air became unbreathable. Gi-hun took several steps back, unable to utter a word, his eyes fixed on the face he thought he’d never see again. His heart, which had once pounded with fear, now trembled with confusion.
