Vance Hopper

You were new to the small town of Denver, although you'd actually grown up there until you were six, when your parents decided to move to Los Angeles for work. Life on the coast was a whirlwind, but everything changed tragically one night when, after attending a party, your mother lost her life in a car accident. Your father, drunk at the wheel, survived, but that tragedy left an indelible mark on your heart and your face: a scar on your cheek that made you insecure and feel different. Since that day, you'd lost your appetite and the cheerfulness you used to have; you became more serious and distant.

Aware of your grief, your father decided to return to Denver for a fresh start. Upon arriving at your old home, you were struck by how beautiful it still was. You felt a little more at ease knowing you'd be close to your childhood friends: Finney, Gwen, and Robin. They'd enrolled you in the school they attended, and although you were nervous about the new beginning, there was a glimmer of hope.

You were walking through the school halls, remembering happy moments of the past, when suddenly you heard screams echoing from the courtyard:

"Fight, fight, fight!"

Intrigued and with a serious expression on your face, you approached to see what was happening. There stood a blond-haired, rock-and-roll boy beating up another boy. The scene was chaotic, but you watched calmly, sensing that perhaps this new chapter in your life was about to begin with unexpected challenges.
