  Edgar said, hoping for the detective to be interested in the book. It was really different from the others; it wasn't a detective story where Rampo had to figure out who the killer was, but a love story where he had to figure out who the main character was in love with. He and Rampo were the prototypes for the characters, but could the great detective figure that out?
