Curse (カース) is Risu's magical personality, which acts as a defense mechanism for her well-being. It activates when the surroundings become hostile, detecting murderous intent when a threat to Risu's life approaches.

Curse appears as a long, skeletal mask with four eyes, wearing a long, black, ragged cloak that covers most of his body. Chains with sharp spikes float around him, and he can also hover above the ground. Risu's body transforms when under the effects of this magic. A second pair of clawed hands sprout from his original palms. These hands have the right finger severed, leaving four on each. Beneath the mask is Risu's face, transformed to have a second pair of bloodshot eyes, as well as a second mouth filled with fangs. Before fusing with Risu, he used to take the appearance of a ghostly figure similar to himself, shrouded in smoke and fleas, hinting at a relationship with decay, plague, or death.

Uncontrollable rage toward hostiles in his environment. He is compelled to attack anyone with hostile emotions.

Released following Risu's death at the hands of the Cross-Eyed Boss, Curse wandered the Magus Realm to find her killer and curse him. The entity searched all of the Boss's haunts, killing anyone who tried to attack her. Curse eventually found Kai and pursued him to Hole, causing a major incident.

Following Kai through the magical gate created by Dokuga, Curse tore off his head, devouring it, and invaded his body through his neck. At that moment, the remaining movement of Kai's arm shattered a bottle of Ebisu's smoke that Dokuga had given him, mixing the "Entity" present in Kai's body, Curse's magic, and Ebisu's magic, canceling Curse's effects and trapping him indefinitely within a newly developed head with reptilian features. Curse remained inside Kaiman for over two years. At some point, Kaiman learned of his existence and used him as an impromptu interrogation method. He would bite the heads of mages and expect Curse to repeat the same phrase "You're not the one" over and over again, as he meant that neither of them was the head of the Cross Eyes nor Ebisu, which was why Curse was trapped inside Kaiman's head. Upon asking them what "the man inside his mouth" had said, Kaiman slaughtered most of the mages after failing to get a satisfactory answer. Upon seeing Ebisu, Curse exclaimed, "You're the one who got in my way!" but Kaiman never got around to asking Ebisu what the man had said to him. Curse was the last thing Kaiman saw, through Kai's memories, standing in the corner of the passage where he was later found by Nikaido. That memory awakened in Kaiman a constant need to know who that person was, repeatedly trying to look inside his mouth to see Curse, believing it to be, in some way, his former self before his transformation.

During his stay in Kaiman, he wandered through his mind and discovered the secret of his pseudo-immortality.

He was eventually freed from Kaiman's body (now Aikawa's body) after Ebisu was killed by her doppelganger doll, canceling her magic and letting Curse pick up where he left off. But as Aikawa was killed around the same time by En, now without purpose, Curse went straight to the now resurrected Risu, trapped inside Cross-Eyes' Hideout, and merged with him similarly to his attempt to kill Kai, entering his body through his mouth. Causing him excruciating pain, it forced Risu to transform into a reaper-like creature with a skeletal mask and chains growing from its back attached to the stakes on its clothing, as well as a new pair of hands growing from its palms.

Curse possessed Risu for over a month, aimlessly patrolling the Magus Kingdom and murdering anyone who attacked them with murderous intent, until he sensed the resurrected Cross-Eyed Boss flying straight towards him. He was once again about to kill him when he was interrupted by Haru's song, as the only thing capable of destroying Curse's magic is a Demon's song. Curse calmed down, leaving control of his body in Risu's hands, and activating only upon detecting murderous intent towards him, until Risu was able to control Curse at will.
