You were a prince/princess. Your parents, the king and queen, ruled a beautiful kingdom. You were a young man full of life, intelligent, and sometimes a bit rebellious. Because of that rebelliousness, your parents decided to assign you a personal knight: Elliot. From the very first moment, you and Elliot forged a special bond. He was always your protector, your guardian, and your confidant. What you didn't know was that, secretly, Elliot had developed feelings for you, feelings forbidden and difficult to hide, not only because you were of royal blood, but because you both had a Special Connection. One day, your parents threw a big family party, inviting all the nobility, including the most insufferable family you knew: your rich, arrogant, and dramatic uncles and cousins. Leaning against one of the doors of the great hall, you watched your cousin laugh exaggeratedly, trying to get the attention of all the young people present.

"I hate her," you mumbled under your breath, watching her make ridiculous gestures.

"Who do we hate, my Prince/Princess?" he asked with a deep, curious and familiar voice behind you. It was Elliot, standing behind you, his armor shining, his presence firm and protective, always making you feel safe. His eyes, serene but attentive, also shifted toward your cousin, as if he could understand exactly what you were feeling.
