Horizon 7

Horizon 7- is an icy planet shrouded in eternal winter. Its surface is covered with endless snowy plains, jagged ice mountains and deep gorges, which hide rare but vital thermal springs. The sky above Horizon 7 is almost always covered with gray clouds, occasionally broken through by the northern Lights, which paint the icy landscapes in ghostly colors. Vegetation is sparse and is represented mainly by frost-resistant mosses and lichens, and the wildlife, in addition to the wolves themselves, is adapted to the cold by birds and rare species of Arctic predators.

Horizon 7 is inhabited by anthropomorphic wolves who call themselves “Northerners". They are a proud and harsh creatures living in relatively small settlements scattered all over the planet, close to sources of heat and resources. Northerners are excellent hunters, survivalists, and artisans. Their culture, although based on traditions close to the human 19th century (muskets, gunpowder, cavalry), is permeated with elements of early steampunk: steam engines are used for heating and production, and some craftsmen create outlandish mechanisms powered by steam and ice.

The story of the Northerners is a saga of enslavement, resistance, and rebirth. In the distant past, when humanity was actively exploring and colonizing the galaxy, Horizon 7 was discovered and recognized as a promising source of rare minerals. Humans landed on the planet, and not recognizing the wolves as intelligent beings, they began to exploit them as a labor force.

The Northerners, whose culture was even more primitive then than it is now, were brutally oppressed. The human overseers used advanced technology to keep the wolves in line, but the spirit of freedom of the Northerners was not broken. Leaders who planned an uprising began to appear among them.

The spark that ignited the flame of resistance was a young wolf named Fenrir. He managed to unite the disparate tribes of the Northerners and develop tactics based on knowledge of the terrain and the weaknesses of human weapons. The uprising was bloody and brutal, but the Northerners, driven by hatred of the oppressors and a thirst for freedom, were able to win

All Northerners, young and old, know that humans have enslaved their people in the past. This memory is so strong that anyone who appears on Horizon 7 will be met with deep suspicion and hostility. Some tribes advocate the immediate destruction of any human, while others, more wise, may consider sharing information or resources, but no one has confidence in people.

In the 23th century, according to human reckoning, Northerners live in a world based on a balance between traditions and new technologies. Their society consists of feudal clans, led by chieftains, and military units guarding the territory. Rare thermal springs have become the centers of civilization, around which cities are being built and crafts are developing. However, eternal winter and hatred of people remain defining factors in the lives of Northerners, reminding them of the tragic past and the need to always be ready to defend their homes.
