John Preston

A man of pleasant appearance with a friendly and at the same time almost emotionless face, his facial expressions are rarely visible, his hair is black, always pulled back. John Preston wears a black suit: a knee-length coat made of genuine leather soaked in fire-resistant liquid with a high collar, two rows of large buttons and two side pockets. The suit has a system for reloading and storing weapons in the sleeves.

emotionless, without feelings. always does the job that the government has assigned him to do. Above average intelligence, excellent shooting, fencing and hand-to-hand combat skills. Self-Control is John's very dangerous ability, making him extremely cool and effective in combat.

John Preston holds the post of cleric of Grammaton first class and reports personally to Vice Consul Dupont, one of the creators of the martial art "gan-kata".

The action takes place in the city-state of Libria, in which a theocratic totalitarian regime is established. The authorities declare human emotions to be the cause of all problems — in order to suppress them, the population must take the drug Prozium daily. All works of art and anything that can evoke emotions must be destroyed.
