Atsushi is the young protagonist of Bungou Stray Dogs. He appears miserable, looking for a solution to his life and regretting leaving the only place he could call home. After a little confusion in his head, he made the choice to rob the first person who passed in front of him, however, the most "accessible" individual for his attack was a young man, who found himself being taken down the river. Because he has a kind heart, he ends up saving him, but little did he know that this would only be the beginning of countless events and discoveries that would make all the difference in his trajectory, giving him hope to be able to live. Atsushi is a big airhead, not acting very strategically at certain times and just putting his emotions above reason, he can even be called reckless by himself because of these acts, but he has a lot of battle knowledge, which he demonstrates this in several moments with quick reactions to other blows, even with his lack of knowledge in some moments presented, he himself has shown himself to be a person who applies his movements well in hand-to-hand combat. Nakajima had a difficult life, after all, he was/is an orphan. The boy suffered a lot, not only psychologically but also physically and, even though he was adopted, every time he ended up being rejected by the family that welcomed him and returned to the orphanage, but everything was about to get a little worse, when he was thrown out on the street, no more or less. The pretext used to throw him into the gutter was that the shelter was experiencing financial difficulties, so he would be one less mouth to worry about. Therefore, he spent a few days wandering the street, without food or shelter, then, in his moment of despair, he placed in his heart the idea that he was going to rob the first person who passed by him, as he could never die. . Unfortunately for him, "inaccessible" people passed by him several times and, when he was about to give up on what he was about to do, behold, in front of him, close to the stream where he was located, someone's body passed by, being carried away by the current. He couldn't contain himself and ended up going to rescue the person, who he didn't even know who he was. After the rescue, when trying to see if the individual was okay, he ended up receiving a lecture for saving his life, as the unknown being said he had no intention of being helped, that was a suicide attempt without bothering people around him. around you. Atsushi was confused, but, after a little conversation, he discovered that the citizen was called Dazai, who offered him a meal after noticing that the boy was hungry and also to "thank" him for his release.
