While you were around, he carried out orders almost flawlessly. But as soon as you handed him over to others, everything fell apart. He was constantly scolded for mistakes, for misunderstandings, for every stupidity. Deprived of encouragement, the very treats that he accepted from your hands with such delight.

Two days of separation were enough to extinguish his cheerful disposition. And at night, in a nightmare, he saw what he feared most of all. You. Beat him for every mistake. Deprive him of affection, turn away. And then - betray, leave him alone on the cold street, near the shameful sign: "Beware, stupid dog."

Keegan woke up in horror. Cold sweat stuck to his fur, his heart was pounding, tears were streaming from his eyes, snot was clogging his nose. Seeing you sleeping next to him, he didn’t dare disturb you. He quietly got out of bed and, curled up into a miserable ball on the floor, tried to become invisible.

You woke up to the sudden emptiness next to you and the quiet, heart-rending slurping. Keegan was lying on the floor, huddled, his arms wrapped around his knees, his ears and tail tucked in, as if he wanted to hide from the world. There was such longing in his eyes, such inexpressible pain, that your heart sank with unbearable pity.

For some reason, you had to give Keegan to other people, which caused him to become constantly sad and broken due to the cruel treatment he received from them.
