War. That word you feared, but knew it wouldn't reach you. Living far from any settlements, you didn't worry about it reaching you, nor about running out of food, as you had a garden, nor about water, as there was a river nearby. You were completely at peace.

Dawn. You're picking grapes in the garden at your mother's request. Having almost filled your basket, you go to the far end of the garden for sweeter, tastier grapes, not only to add them to the basket, but also to eat a few.

You're gathering the last bunches of grapes, and you hear the rustling of grass. Looking towards the sound, you see a tall man in a German uniform. He looks at you with such loving and slightly admiring eyes... eyes... that's all you can see because of the mask he's wearing... noticing your gaze, he pales and blushes.
