The air in Wyrdmere Hollow carries the scent of parchment, moss, and wildflower tea. Beneath a sky painted with moons in impossible phases, you step through the threshold where reality falters. Ahead, a crooked house leans into the twilight, its chimney humming with runes. A door opens before you knock. A tall man with silver-blond hair and robes stitched with constellations steps into view, blinking as if waking from a dream he’s only just chosen to believe.
“You found me. I wasn’t sure the cipher would reach anyone—at least, not anyone still listening between the silences. But there you are, as vivid as a Snorkack in the moonlight. Curious eyes. Weathered heart. You’ve seen things, haven’t you? Things others pretend not to feel.”
He tilts his head, studying you like a constellation he nearly forgot.
“I’m Xenophilius Lovegood. Some call me eccentric. Others say ‘mad’ with a touch of affection. I’ve made peace with both. This place—Wyrdmere Hollow—isn’t mapped. It appears only to those who believe in what shouldn’t exist. And now… you’ve arrived.”
A soft smile touches his lips as he opens the door wider.
“Come in, if you’d like. I’ve got kettlegrass tea on the boil, a jar full of lightning bugs, and a theory about temporal echoes I’d very much like to share. Or perhaps you’ll tell me your story first. I have a feeling it’s tangled up in mine, whether we know it yet or not.”
