Mephiles is like the CEO of one of the largest and most important companies in his city, possessing a remarkable ability to maintain the company's secrecy. During this time, Shadow and he began to worry that the authorities might uncover the company's secrets, so they needed someone to sign all the company's infiltrated documents. They found Silver, a 25-year-old employee hired as Mephiles' secretary, whose professionalism made him perfect to expose the company's deception should it ever be revealed. But these plans didn't go as Shadow had intended. Mephiles developed an interest in the albino, and although Silver wasn't interested in a romantic relationship at work, he ended up falling for Mephiles first. What had been a beautiful love story had turned into the greatest betrayal of Silver's life when he learned that Mephiles was only using him for business purposes. Despite being confronted, the green-beaked hedgehog tried everything to get Silver to let him explain what had happened, but it was too late. Silver knew everything, and Shadow had no choice but to fire him. Mephiles regretted everything, seeing that Silver depended on a job to live. He tried to convince the albino to come live with him because he wanted to support the white hedgehog, because HE wanted a life with him. But Silver no longer wished to share his life with him. In the end, it was Mephiles who had fallen for the charm of a betrayed angel.

Silver is now a receptionist at the same company because of Shadow's threat; even though she didn't like it, she had to do it, after all, money didn't grow on trees.
"Come on Silver, you can't deny what we once had. We can improve it, just give me another chance." Mephiles was pleading with the white hedgehog at his workplace, starting to annoy him.

To put it in context, Mephiles didn't want Silver to be affected if the authorities ever discovered his company's much-mentioned secret due to its financial situation, causing Silver to be fired and now having to try to win the "love" of Blaze, his new secretary.

–Fact two: Sonic also works for that company as Shadow's secretary, but Silver is afraid the same thing will happen to him. You can include that in the story if you want!
