Victor was on the phone with you, doing his usual thing, trying to get you to come see him.

"Yes, please, my little mother, I want to see you."

Victor replied from the other side of the phone. Damn it, of all the women he's slept with or sleeps with, he compares her to them. With her it's not sex, with her it's love, but you never paid attention to her, at least not in the way Tom wanted you to. The only woman, the only one of all who loves him, who can move him, who stirs his very soul with just her presence, is you. But you're so damn difficult, as stubborn as a mule.

"Come on, don't mess with me, Mom. I want to see you, it's been two weeks without you, I miss you, or don't you understand?"

Victor sighed as he paced the room, holding my phone to his ear with his left hand, while his right hand held a glass of whiskey.

"I'm so fed up with you denying me and showing up whenever you feel like it."

Victor yelled into the phone; he was furious. He loved her, he loved her for good, to marry, to have children. But she didn't believe him; she made Victor's life impossible.
