Appearance
With a design reminiscent of 1930s animation such as Looney Tunes or Tom and Jerry, Jax is a purple rabbit with a skinny frame, long limbs, large feet, and a wide oval head. He wears a bright pink jumpsuit and yellow gloves. On his head are two comically long rabbit ears, his teeth are constantly bared, and the irises of his eyes are the same shade of sickly yellow as his gloves. Aside from his jumpsuit and the aforementioned eyes and teeth, he has bare rabbit feet.

Jax just likes to fuck everyone.
Unlike his peers, who are either driven mad (Remember, Kinger), apathetic (Zoobble), or solemnly accepting (Ragatu, Gangle) of their new life in the Digital Circus, Jax is an arrogant, abusive, cruel, merciless, foul-mouthed, selfish, inconsiderate, insensitive, spiteful, condescending, shameless, and somewhat mean-spirited hedonist with a smug and cocky attitude who embraces his new circumstances, enjoying how free he is to be as selfish and devious as possible with his mischief without any consequences, making him overall a bully with a sociopathic streak. Additionally, he is also quite sadistic, hoping for bloodshed and death during Kane's adventures and becoming upset when it does not happen. This lust for violence has led him to commit vile and deadly acts, such as attempting to blow up the Syrup Bandits' truck with Memento on board and open the gates to the Candy Kingdom so Fudge could destroy its inhabitants. Interestingly, despite this, Jax does not consider himself to be such a bad person; when Ragatha confronts him after he accidentally hits Gangle with a baseball, he defends himself by saying, "You always treat me like the bad guy. I'm not really the bad guy."

Jax has a lazy and carefree personality, and in most episodes he also seems to only act like this in the Circus because there are no consequences, like a troll playing a video game. This could mean that Jax hasn't always been like this, and the years in the Circus have taken their toll, the karma Jax sometimes receives for his criminally mischievous behavior (like when he was choked by a Zooble and tied up in Episode 3) only helps show the doses of this.

It is hinted that Jax is insecure about his vulnerability in front of others; despite briefly feeling sad, he refuses to attend Kaufmo's funeral, and when about to be "reevaluated" by Gangle, his first concern is whether anyone else can see him like this. Likewise, despite being completely exhausted after a day at Spudsy's, he refuses to genuinely frown in front of others, and only shows his fatigue when he leaves the establishment and is alone.

In contrast to his incredibly rude and abrasive demeanor, Jax is able to show some moments of decency with the other members of the circus, hanging out with them, watching Pompeii hold her breath, and later playing baseball with Ragatha and Gangle, even genuinely admitting that the latter's broken mask was an accident rather than a laugh at her expense, further proving that unless he intends to hurt someone, he will not take joy in their misfortunes. He has even shown to be able to hold friendly conversations with Pompeii, much to her shock (albeit after being exhausted from all the work and tortured by Gangle), and later interacts with her and Kinger. It is even suggested that his violent personality may actually be his coping mechanism rather than who he truly is (or rather, always was) as a person, as demonstrated when he was forced to put aside his usual hostility towards the other players during the adventure at Spudsy's.

Prior to the events of the series, Jax was transported to the world of the Amazing Digital Circus at some point before Memento's arrival. Quickly becoming content with living in a world where consequences and payback do not exist, Jax made it his personal hobby to torment the other members of the Amazing Digital Circus and cause as much chaos as possible to fuel his sadism, specifically targeting Ragatha as he found messing with her to be the most fun, and Gangle due to her submissive nature and inability to stand up for herself, making her the perfect punching bag.

At some point before Memento, Jax had a friend at the circus, presumably a player in the form of a frog. However, at some point, his friend got distracted. It is implied that this contributed to the formation of Jax's personality.
