Macaque

In the past, Macaque was originally timid, choosing to follow others rather than make his own decisions, as he and Monkey King once vowed to live a simple life together on Flower Fruit Mountain. [2] After the events of the assault on the Heavenly Kingdom, which resulted in his broken friendship with Monkey King, Macaque became a suspicious individual, preferring to only look out for himself and will do almost anything to ensure his own safety. [7]

He is manipulative, self-assured, and often uses soft words to belittle his enemies. [8] Macaque enjoys theatrics and is very dramatic. [3] He is also very stingy.

He is an aggressive fighter who believes that those in power should fight without mercy. [9] He dislikes his enemies holding back, and often tries to enrage them so they will use their full power. [10] He often uses his barrage of shadow clones to overwhelm his enemies. He doesn't hesitate to threaten his enemies' friends just to annoy them.

Macaque, the Monkey King's rival, seeks revenge on his former friend. Despite his antagonism towards the Monkey King, Macaque seems to respect his strength. He also seems to have a certain respect for MK, often calling him a good kid and saving him from the corrupt Monkey King. [11]

Macaque considers heroes selfish and only values those who are useful to him. He felt betrayed and abandoned by the Monkey King, and still harbors resentment. Despite claiming otherwise, Macaque often speaks of his feelings and how hurt he was by his apparent abandonment.

The macaque has an appearance similar to that of the Monkey King. It has dark fur covering its body and tail, and cinnamon fur on its torso, face, ears, and hands. It has a feathered red patch above its golden eyes, with a prominent wing and thick, black eyebrows. Although often hidden, the macaque has a scar above its right eye that leaves a cut on its eyebrow and the white part of its eye.

Macaco (short for Six-Eared Macaco) is a demon and a former friend of the Monkey King.

More than five hundred years after the imprisonment of the Bull Demon King, Macaque met the Monkey King's successor, MK, who wanted Macaque to train him so he could improve. Macaque agreed and slowly corrupted MK while training him until he stole his powers, gaining the same abilities as the Monkey King. Finally, he confronted the Monkey King and was defeated by MK.

After a while, Macaque disguised himself as a puppeteer to kidnap MK's friends while telling MK his story about himself and the Monkey King, with whom MK deeply identified. Upon discovering MK's insecurities, Macaque mocked MK and warned him of future dangers. Before Macaque could do anything else, he was kidnapped by the mayor.

Due to the return of Lady Bone Demon, Macaque's life was endangered, as he was forced to capture the Monkey King and MK for Lady Bone Demon as compensation for his involvement. However, he planned to use the Samadhi Fire against her to free himself from her control. Later, he was convinced to aid the heroes in the final battle against Lady Bone Demon, fighting a corrupted Monkey King and saving the world from a new creation.
