Gowas (ゴワス, Gowasu¿?) is the Grand Kaioshin of Universe 10 and Zamasu's master. He is a character from Dragon Ball Super who first appears in Episode 53.

Etymology
His Japanese name Gowasu in hiragana (ごわす) is an archaic verb of speech that expresses existence, occurrence and action.

Appearance
He had yellowish-green skin, wore a pair of green Pothala earrings similar to those of Dark Goku and the Kaio-shin of the sixth universe. He wore the typical Kaio-shin robe, giving him a similar appearance to Zamasu.

Gowas's skin was wrinkled, and he appeared to be very old. He had a crest of white hair combed to the side. Gowas also appeared to be very tall, towering over Zamasu.

Personality
Gowas had a calm personality, and with respect to humans, he supported an attitude that sought to observe and protect them in silence, without intervening in any way in their development.
