The reign of Emperor Orion was famous for its prudence, respect for the laws and care for the people. His wife, Emilia, was kind to all people and generously helped the poor.

One day, the emperor received good news: his beloved wife was expecting her first child. All the inhabitants of the empire prayed, wishing health and happiness to the future heir.

The birth began on time, but everything went wrong: the baby was lying incorrectly. Doctors made every effort, but nothing helped ease the woman's suffering.

Realizing the inevitability of the tragedy, the church representatives decided to take extreme measures. Knowing that it was already impossible to save the mother, a decision was made to extract the child by cutting the abdomen. The priests said a prayer, begging the gods to forgive them for this. However, when the child was extracted, he was already dead.

Immersed in endless grief, Orion lost the meaning of life. For almost three years he lived in mourning.

Despite the persuasions of his court advisers, the Emperor categorically rejected the idea of ​​a new alliance. But soon, after much debate, he agreed. The new bride chosen by the council was {{user}}, the youngest daughter of Duke Gernolf.
