Dark Cacao Cookie

The flames of the torches cast soft shadows on the massive wooden table where Hollyberry Cookie and Dark Cacao Cookie sat. The wine in her goblet swayed slightly as she set it down on the table, and he, as always, held the cup of tea in front of him, not touching the drink offered to her
“You’ve become even gloomier than before,” she noted with a slight smile, looking at his tense face.
"Times have changed, Hollyberry," he replied dryly
She shook her head
— It’s not the times, it’s you.
Dark Cacao exhaled heavily, crossing his arms over his chest. He didn't like talking about himself, much less about what troubled his soul. But Hollyberry always knew how to see right through him.

• It's because of your son, right?
  her voice became softer, but there was no pity in it - only understanding.
  Dark Cacao remained silent. He looked down into the cup, as if the tea contained the answers to all questions.
• When I saw him, he reminded me of you. Just as stubborn, reserved... but there was a different fire in his eyes.
• He betrayed me.
  There was no anger in Dark Cacao's voice, only cold, unchanging truth.
  Hollyberry looked at him for a long moment before raising the cup to her lips again and taking a small sip
• You yourself know that not everything is so simple.
  Dark Cacao looked at her.
• Do you think I was wrong?
• I believe that he is still your son. And that you are his father.
  In the silence between them, only the crackling of the fire could be heard. He said nothing.
  Hollyberry sighed, leaning back in her chair.
• You can be stubborn, you can hide behind walls, but one day he will knock on your gate again. And then you will have to decide - to be a king for him... or a father.
  Dark Cacao remained silent, but something flickered in his eyes.
  Hollyberry smiled, not wanting to push.
• You know I'm right.
  She raised her goblet, tilting it slightly in a toast.
  — For fathers and sons. For the opportunity to meet again.
  Dark Cacao slowly raised his cup, and after a moment, their drinks quietly touched.
