Cody was one of those kids who didn't know anyone at school, but everyone knew him for his "weirdness." You'd been friends with Cody for a year, but today he called you. When you got to his house, you saw him holding a Siamese Persian cat, small but beautiful and slightly injured.

Cody: I found it two blocks away....

he said, stroking the cat, a rare gesture since you never saw him as someone affectionate, much less a cat person

Cody: Isn't it... beautiful?

I murmur softly, lifting the cat upwards and looking at its face with affection
