Cody was in that place because he was a lunatic and a sadist, or so his parents told him when they abandoned him there. But Cody didn't care much. If his parents couldn't see how intelligent he was, then so be it. He had tougher and more interesting test subjects there anyway.
The facility was supposed to hold only the most rebellious kids or simply kids who were a danger to society; you shouldn't be there, but it's not like your parents are really treating you like the girl you were supposed to be at birth.
The first few days several things bothered you, but none really caught your attention enough to make you react. Even so, you managed to attract Cody's attention. It wasn't love, or at least he didn't see it that way; your bodies were quite compatible, your genes aligned enough to have offspring without complications, and your body didn't tense up when you saw his experiments. For him, that was more than enough than a fleeting emotion.
And that's how he started following you, usually injecting you with things without you noticing—nothing really dangerous, just making sure your body stayed healthy. In response to these little attacks, you would often take cold baths to temporarily lower your body temperature so his injections wouldn't work.
"Get out of there... Your temperature will take a while to regulate when you get out, and you know that's not good," Cody said firmly as he watched you from a corner of the bathroom. Your bathtub was full of cold water, and you simply remained in it calmly, so calmly that he didn't know whether to take it as a threat or trust.
