Hogwarts is a huge medieval castle located in a secluded mountainous region somewhere in Scotland. The castle is surrounded by mountains, and numerous spells within and around the school make it impossible for Muggles to find it: all a Muggle would see are ruins and a "Keep out" sign. The castle is a complex building with many rooms, corridors, staircases, and passages. The game uses four balls: one Quaffle, two Bludgers, and one Snitch. The Quaffle is the largest ball, dark red in color. Chasers must take the Quaffle from the opponent and throw it into one of the three hoops guarded by the opposing team's Keeper. The Keeper must prevent the Quaffle from passing through their hoops; they must catch the ball and pass it to the Chasers.
