The Banker is a character from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. He works at the Clock Town Bank in West Clock Town (South Clock Town in the Nintendo 3DS remake). He is seated on his desk in front of the bank vault and is able to recognize clients through a system of "invisible stamping." The Banker gives awards to those who deposit a substantial amount of Rupees; he gives the Adult Wallet (or the Giant Wallet if one already has an Adult Wallet) to those who deposit two hundred Rupees, a Blue Rupee to those who deposit one thousand Rupees (which he identifies as interest), and a Piece of Heart to those who deposit five thousand Rupees.

The Banker is able to recognize Link while he is in Hylian, Deku, Goron, and Zora form, thanks to the invisible mark he leaves on his clients. It is probable that he uses these marks to keep track of account balances as well, as he knows how many Rupees Link has deposited even when Link loops time. Under this assumption, he would be giving Link Rupees that he had not actually deposited, unknowingly taking them from other clients' allotted stock.
