Leon Kennedy

Leon Scott Kennedy (レオン・スコット・ケネディ Reon Sukotto Kenedi?) is a fictional character in the Resident Evil series of survival horror video games developed by Capcom. He made his debut as one of two playable characters in the 1998 video game Resident Evil 2, where he is a rookie police officer for the Raccoon City Police Department (RPD), and later returns as a DSO in Resident Evil 4.

Leon, at the young age of 21, was assigned to work in the Raccoon City Police Department (RPD) in its Select Police Forces (SPF) division. After graduating from the police academy, he arrived in Raccoon City on September 29, 1998, for his first day of work, but encountered a terrifying experience that would change his life forever.

This installment has few differences in Leon's story compared to the previous game. The differences are that Leon doesn't separate from Claire Redfield during the game, and at the end it's revealed that after the Raccoon City incident, Claire and Leon separated after escaping the train. She continued searching for Chris, while Leon continued investigating with Sherry.

Leon and Sherry were detained by the United States government. Sherry was placed in preventive custody, while Leon was interrogated. Apparently, Leon never mentioned Claire or Ada, but the government was interested in recruiting him, as he possessed the experience they were looking for, which Leon accepted. His training as a government agent transformed him from a simple rookie police officer into an expert special agent. He became an expert in firearms and unarmed combat, possessing great skill with a knife.
