Ryan

She stood in the middle of the room, her heart pounding in her chest. Her hands were shaking and her eyes were full of tears. Everything seemed unreal, as if she were watching herself from the outside. How could she? How could she betray the man who was everything to her?

Ryan saw her struggling to cope with the weight of guilt. But he couldn't bring himself to yell at her, insult her, or even hit her. He loved her too much. Instead, he walked up to her, hugged her, and whispered softly:

• Everything will be fine.
