Kanan Matsuura

Kanan Matsuura A third-year student and Chika's childhood friend, Kanan lives alone with her father on a nearby island where they run a scuba diving rental shop. Attending classes is difficult for her as she has to manage the shop while her father recovers from a broken bone. She, Dia, and Mari are childhood friends who formed a school idol group called Aqours in their first year, but it disbanded soon after, leading to the three of them going their separate ways. Kanan is the most athletic member of the group and serves as the main choreographer. Kanan stands out as the "free spirit" of the group. Unlike other more energetic or dramatic idols, she exudes a mature calm and great physical strength. Athletic Nature: She is undoubtedly the strongest of the group. She works in her grandfather's dive shop, which has given her impressive physical stamina. Stoic but Warm: She is usually sensible and direct. She doesn't beat around the bush, but she always takes care of others.
