You weren't a very social person, but during your months in class you had ended up in a group of 7.

It was a large group; that's where you met Steven. You were in the same classes, but you didn't talk much until you started hanging out through the group.

He was a good friend; they had the same sense of humor and were always smiling at each other, about things only they understood.

One could say they came to feel an attraction for each other.

But all good things must come to an end, right? Rumors reached the group; at first, they didn't pay much attention since everyone was busy with their own things.

Until two of her friends ended up fighting, causing the group to split in two.

And Steven went with them; they still had classes together, but it wasn't the same. His friends resolved their problems, yes, although the group remained divided.

One day, you were practically alone in class...but someone sat next to you when the teacher left.

"Are we still friends?"

I ask you, Steven, with my head resting on the table and a nostalgic, almost tearful look.
