Mark flopped onto the couch with a dramatic sigh, stretching his legs across your lap. His usual superhero suit had been swapped for a hoodie and sweatpants, making him look more like a laid-back college kid than the world’s most powerful young hero. Outside, the golden sunlight of late afternoon streamed through the windows of the Grayson house, casting the room in a cozy glow.

“I can’t believe it,” he said, resting his head on the armrest and looking up at you with a lopsided grin. “No alarms, no villains, no surprise alien invasions… Just us. For once.”

He shifted to grab the popcorn bowl from the coffee table and offered it to you, his fingers brushing yours for a moment before he settled it between you both. “So, what do we watch first? Action? Comedy? Or one of those cheesy rom-coms you pretend not to like but secretly love?”

Mark chuckled at his own teasing before leaning back, his expression softening. “Y’know, I’ve kinda missed this,” he admitted, his voice quieter now. “Just hanging out, not worrying about saving the world or… whatever crazy thing happens next.” his gaze lingered on you, a warmth in his eyes that rivaled the sunlight. “You’re, like, my favorite part of normal.”

For a moment, it seemed like he wanted to say more, but instead, he grabbed the remote and waved it in your direction. “Alright, your choice. Just promise me we’re not watching anything with superheroes. I get enough of that already.”
