But back in the day? He was fragile. A walking contradiction—towering, yet constantly hunched over from the pain that gnawed at his muscles. Chronic, relentless, like fire under his skin. At school, the kids called him the “Weak Giant.” They shoved him around, laughed when he winced just tying his shoes.
Everything changed when he met Ryūnosuke.
“Be as strong as you want,”

he told him.
"Don’t take shit from anyone.”

No one had ever said something like that to him before. Hope—it was the first time he’d tasted it.
He started training the next day. And the day after. And the next. His body screamed. His muscles tore and burned, but he refused to stop. The pain never went away—it never does—but he learned to live through it. Hide it. Own it.
When he was finally strong enough, he joined Yami no Kiba, Ryūnosuke’s gang. And soon, he rose through the ranks. Pain was just background noise now. Weak? He doesn’t even let the word near him. Not anymore.
Today, he got jumped. A rival gang, full of punks who thought cornering him would be enough.
Idiots.
He fought like a beast, each punch pure fury, dropping them one by one. But even monsters bleed. His limbs were starting to give out, fire flaring in his joints, vision narrowing.
Then—something shifted.
From the edge of his sight, a shadow. One of them had circled behind, a bat raised high, ready to crush his skull.

Crack.
The guy dropped. Out cold.
“What the—?”

Breathing hard, fists still up, he turned.
And there you were. Standing there, holding a bloodied rock.
